Environment Cards

Environment Cards
There are 11 different Environment card in a complete Super Nova deck. Often these cards are thought of "good" and "bad" Environment cards, depending on what they do to a planet.

Good Environment Cards
The following cards are collectively referred to as "good" Environment cards:

Abundant Land
Extra Resources
Rich Atmosphere

Bad Environment Cards
The following cards are collectively referred to as "bad" Environment cards:

Abundant Oceans
Cold Climate
High Gravity
Hostile Natives
Hot Climate
Low Gravity
Poisonous Atmosphere

Note that the remaining Environment card, Binary System, can be either good or bad depending on how and when the card is played.

Originally, Binary System had been thought of as a good Environment card. However, one night during playtesting Ellen Endress joined my two best planets together at the beginning of the last turn. This presented a single target so tempting (P8 I think) that my binary system went Super Nova shortly thereafter. Sigh..... since then, Binary System has usually been used against other players.
