You needn't have it set to underline links (unless you're colorblind). Since that is the default setting, I've incorporated a style sheet deal which turns off the link underlines, since they make my footnote numbers look dumb.
Pictures are often links in
these pages. It isn't
obvious since I set my borders to zero. If you're
curious, left wondering, want more information;
give the image a click.
The images are either my own creations or
modifications of those I copy from web
sites, or scan from whatever. Some people feel that
a stream of bits is a duplicate of the original photo
or drawing, and hence copyright issues are involved. I
disagree, but to avoid legal trips pictures which don't
originate with me are deleted after a few weeks. I do
try to include some credit where a copy's involved;
maybe even a link to the source.
The HTML is composed in a bare-bones text-editor
(usually Notepad), and it's undergoing a continuous
cycle of refinement on-line (sadly, without
ready access to a spell-checker).
Who am I? An ethnic WASP, 45 years old, never married.
Computer professional (Unix, Wintel; not Apple) all my
adult life; moved to Silicon Valley three years ago,
extensively traveled. Think that means dull? Read on...
If you want to know why I do,
this entry
has an explanation.
