First, the New Stuff:

  • There's a new Fluxx fan page up!
  • Chapter 45 of the Empty City (in which Pauline shows her new sculpture to Torrence)

The big news around here is that Ember just got married! The wedding was held in Baltimore at Westminster Hall (noted as being the burial place of Edgar Allen Poe) and it was a jolly good time. It was a costume wedding...everyone was encouraged to wear vintage or re-created clothing from a historical era of their choosing, and each table was themed to a particular historical time period. It reminded me the Time Traveler's Annual Holiday Party, and was great way of keeping the event from being too stodgy and formal.

The high point of the wedding was the happy couple's first dance: Mar and Butch waltzed to the tune of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," a wonderful blending of his interest in baseball with her passion for ballroom dancing.

Here's wishing them both the very best. Congratulations!

If you searched today's Washington Times for an article about us and failed to find one, it's because the story was pushed back to a later date. The reporter and the photographer managed to convince the editor that ours is a story that deserves significant coverage, so a larger, longer article is now being written. It will run sometime in the middle of August.

Well, I'm off to Gen-Con! (In fact, I'm already there!)
